Flood relief operations by the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) are continuing across several affected regions, with significant progress reported in rescue and humanitarian assistance.
In Jalalpur Pirwala, PMML volunteers, using boats, rescued 700 stranded citizens over the past 24 hours and shifted them to safer locations. According to party officials, so far 64,700 people have been rescued through 52 boats, while cooked food has been distributed among 1.25 million flood victims. In addition, dry ration has reached 39,300 families, and nearly 972,000 patients have received treatment and free medicines at PMML’s medical camps.
PMML has established large-scale tent villages in five cities — Lahore, Kasur, Chiniot, Bahawalpur, and Muzaffargarh — where thousands of displaced citizens are being provided with essential services. In Muzaffargarh alone, 100 families are living in PMML’s relief camp, while a camp has also been set up at Jhang Road Adda Jamia Abad in Chiniot.
The party’s Central Punjab President, Hameed-ul-Hasan, visited the Chiniot tent village, met the affected families, and distributed food and relief goods.
Meanwhile, Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan visited PMML’s relief camp, distributed dry ration and aid among the flood victims, and praised the ongoing humanitarian efforts of the party. He was received by PMML Gilgit leader Abdul Rasheed Turabi.
At Attari Mandi near the Sutlej River, PMML Women’s Wing Secretary General Iffat Saeed visited a flood relief camp and distributed food and clothing among women and children.
The party’s Khidmat-e-Khalq Wing in Multan is also actively engaged in Jalalpur Pirwala, where along with the rescue of hundreds of people, cooked meals and medical care are being provided. Relief efforts are also underway in Sher Shah, where cooked food has been distributed to hundreds of displaced families.
In Lodhran, PMML Secretary General Dr. Safiullah Kamboh met Assistant Commissioner Iram Shahzadi to discuss the party’s relief efforts. The AC acknowledged and appreciated the commitment of PMML volunteers in serving the victims.
PMML has expanded its flood relief operations to other affected districts, including Kasur, Sialkot, Nankana, Burewala, Bahawalpur, Okara, Gujrat, Sahiwal, Arifwala, and Khanewal. Rescue operations using boats, distribution of cooked meals, dry ration, and medical treatment in temporary health camps remain ongoing.
Party President Khalid Masood Sindhu has directed all units of PMML to continue flood relief operations with full dedication, ensuring that essential supplies reach every affected family.
