At Gurdwara Manji Sahib (Ninth Patshahi) in the blessed village of Jakhwali — the land sanctified by the footsteps of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji — a remarkable gesture of communal harmony was witnessed today.
The family of late Jarnail Singh, represented by his wife Mata Rajinder Kaur, donated five marlas of land for the construction of a mosque, after observing the difficulties faced by the local Muslim community in finding a place to offer prayers.
On this special occasion, Shahi Imam of Punjab, Maulana Muhammad Usman Rahmani Ludhianvi, arrived to lay the foundation stone of the new mosque.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Shahi Imam said that Punjab continues to send a message of interfaith solidarity to the world, where people of all religions live with mutual respect and goodwill. He added that Punjabis remain deeply rooted in their own faiths while honouring the beliefs of others.
He further remarked that Punjab has always upheld the flag of love over hatred, nurturing harmony and brotherhood among its people.
