Attempt to Illegally Possess Miri Piri Medical College, Shahabad Markanda Will Not Be Tolerated: Advocate Dhami

The act of forcibly attempting to take illegal possession of Miri Piri Medical College, Shahabad Markanda—property belonging to Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib—by Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwal along with some associates will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Expressing strong concern, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami stated that devotees hold deep reverence for Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib, and no one can be allowed to unlawfully possess its property. He alleged that Baljit Singh Daduwal, accompanied by certain individuals, attempted to assert control over the Miri Piri Medical College, which is being run under SGPC management.
Advocate Dhami further remarked that it appears governments are silently supporting such actions instead of taking steps to stop them. He emphasized that the SGPC has been at the forefront of promoting Sikhi and education across India by establishing religious and educational institutions.
However, he expressed regret that attempts are being made by some elements to take possession the Miri Piri Medical College at Shahabad Markanda. He highlighted that the SGPC provides an annual financial assistance of Rs 8 crore for the functioning of the college and is currently making significant efforts to enhance hospital facilities for public welfare.
Advocate Dhami asserted that such actions are aimed at weakening Sikh institutions. He asked the Haryana Government to take strict action against those involved and ensure that such activities are immediately stopped.
