Federal Government Reconstitutes ETPB for Three-Year Term

The federal government has reconstituted the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) for a three-year term, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
According to the notification, the board will comprise six members, including the chairman, with representatives from the Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs and the provinces of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Fifteen non-official members have also been appointed to the board. The non-official members from Sindh include Sardar Tara Singh, Krishna Sharma, Ajay Kumar and Leela alias Kalpana.The notification states that seven non-official members have been appointed from Punjab, while four each have been appointed from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh.
The federal government said the new board has been constituted under Section 3(3) of the Evacuee Trust Properties (Management and Disposal) Act, 1975.
The notification has taken effect immediately.
