PAk Punjab MINISTER REVIEWS ARRANGEMENTS FOR GURU NANAK’S 556TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs and Human Rights and President of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, visited Gurdwara Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib to review preparations for the 556th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj. He was accompanied by Additional Secretary Shrines, Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), Nasir Mushtaq, and Deputy Commissioner Nankana Sahib.
3,000 Indian Pilgrims Expected Under Nehru–Liaquat Pact
Additional Secretary Nasir Mushtaq said around 3,000 Sikh pilgrims from India are expected to attend the celebrations under the Nehru–Liaquat Pact, while thousands more from the UK, US, and Canada will also participate.
All Arrangements Completed, Says ETPB
Mushtaq said the government has completed all arrangements for accommodation, food, medical assistance, transport, and foolproof security, adding that the renovation and beautification of the Gurdwara have also been finalized.
Minister Praises ETPB’s Performance
Minister Arora praised the ETPB for its “exemplary role” in facilitating Sikh pilgrims and maintaining sacred sites.
Security Briefing and Warm Welcome
The Deputy Commissioner of Nankana Sahib briefed the minister and officials on security measures. Earlier, the local Sikh community gave a warm welcome to the visiting dignitaries.
