Process of expelling illegally residing foreigners from across Punjab continues

Punjab Police have deported more than 32,700 illegally residing foreign nationals.
According to details, the process of expelling foreign nationals illegally residing in Punjab is continuing rapidly. The spokesperson for Punjab Police provided details, stating that so far, over 32,700 illegally residing foreign nationals, including Afghans, have been deported from Lahore and across the province, while 346 illegally residing individuals are present at various holding points.
The Punjab Police spokesperson further stated that among those deported are 12,357 men, 6,673 women, and 13,700 children. Among those deported, 10,441 were Afghan Citizen Card holders, 11,098 were undocumented, and 11,190 were other illegally residing foreigners.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Karim, has said that a high security alert is in place across the province and the expulsion of all illegally residing individuals is being ensured. He further stated that Punjab Police is adhering to the policy of expelling illegally residing residents under international laws and that human rights are being fully taken into account during this entire process.
