Religious and Panthic Issues to Be Discussed by Singh Sahiban at Sri Akal Takht Sahib

Five Singh Sahiban to Convene at Sri Akal Takht Sahib on August 6

A significant gathering of the Five Singh Sahiban will take place at the Secretariat of Sri Akal Takht Sahib on the morning of August 6 at 9:00 AM. The meeting will be led by Giani Kuldeep Singh Gharghaj, Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, to deliberate on various Panthic and religious matters.

Sharing details about the gathering, Secretariat in-charge S. Bagicha Singh stated that Punjab Cabinet Minister S. Harjot Singh has been summoned to appear before the Singh Sahiban in connection with a controversial program organized in Srinagar during the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The event allegedly hurt Sikh sentiments, and an official email has been sent to inform him.

Meanwhile, Director of the Punjab Language Department, S. Jaswant Singh, is currently abroad attending a close relative’s wedding and is expected to return by August 12. He will be summoned to appear before the Singh Sahiban at a later date.
