350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji

Shaheedi Nagar Kirtan Proceeds from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh

As part of the ongoing observances for the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, the Shaheedi Nagar Kirtan which commenced from Gurdwara Dhoabri Sahib, Assam, today departed from Gurdwara Brahmbala Sahib, Sikh Chhawni, Hyderabad towards Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

On this occasion, Head Granthi Singh Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh and Granthi Singh Sahib Giani Sultan Singh of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, along with other prominent personalities, were present.

Prior to the departure, a religious congregation was held at the Gurdwara Sahib where the Hazuri Ragi Jatha of Sri Darbar Sahib performed Gurbani Kirtan. Addressing the sangat, Giani Raghbir Singh connected the devotees with Sikh history, highlighting the glorious legacy of the Ninth Guru. He emphasized that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s martyrdom was for the protection of dharma and instilled the spirit of standing against tyranny.

The Shaheedi Nagar Kirtan, now over a month in progress since its commencement from Assam, continues to receive enthusiastic participation and reverence from sangat across India. Devotees showered flowers on the palki of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as a mark of devotion.

On the occasion, the Gurdwara management honored the Panj Piare Sahibaan and eminent personalities with Siropao. People from different faiths also expressed deep reverence.

Among those present were SGPC Junior Meet S. Baldev Singh Kalyan, Meet Secretary S. Kuldeep Singh Rode, Incharge S. Gurmej Singh, Manager S. Narinder Singh Mathrewal, Supervisor S. Harbhajan Singh, S. Harvinder Singh Verka, S. Ram Singh Mumbai, Head Preacher Bhai Jagdev Singh, Gurdwara Sahib President S. Sant Singh Chatial, S. Arjan Singh, S. Gurcharan Singh Bagga, Dharam Parchar Committee preacher Bhai Harjeet Singh Sultanpur Lodhi, and a large gathering of sangat.
