Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the vital contributions of Pakistan’s minority communities to the country’s development in sectors including health, education, and defense. Speaking at a ceremony marking International Youth Day, the Prime Minister also warned that no one would be allowed to take “even a drop” of Pakistan’s water, cautioning adversaries against hostile actions.
Congratulating minorities on their national day and the nation ahead of Independence Day, Shehbaz Sharif highlighted their pivotal role in the Pakistan Movement and in building a stronger, more inclusive country.
The Prime Minister praised Pakistan’s armed forces for their historic defense achievements, noting that past conflicts had left “unforgettable lessons” for the enemy. He also unveiled a major educational initiative — the distribution of 100,000 laptops to deserving students nationwide, offered on merit and through interest-free installment plans, to empower youth in nation-building.
Emphasizing that Pakistan’s strength lies in hard work, merit, and education, Shehbaz Sharif called on the younger generation to lead the country towards progress and prosperity.
