Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Visits Churches on Easter, Participates in Prayer Ceremonies

Lahore, April 05, 2026: !Nazrana Times- On the auspicious occasion of Easter, Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Punjab, Ramesh Singh Arora, accompanied by Secretary Human Rights, Usman Ali Khan, visited various churches and participated in prayer ceremonies. The visits included Church of Pakistan, Presbyterian Church Nolakha, and Catholic Church Regal Chowk, Lahore, where a large number of members of the Christian community gathered to celebrate the occasion.
During the ceremonies, Reverend Dr. Majeed Abel and other religious leaders offered special prayers for the peace, prosperity, and stability of Pakistan.
Extending Easter greetings to the Christian community, the Provincial Minister stated that under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, full protection and facilitation are being ensured for minority communities. He emphasized that the provision of special grants and foolproof security arrangements on Easter reflects the government’s firm commitment to safeguarding minority rights.

He further remarked that the Chief Minister’s statement, “Minorities are the crown on my head,” is not merely symbolic but represents a practical policy that is being actively implemented. He highlighted that exemplary measures have been taken in Punjab to promote interfaith harmony and religious tolerance, projecting a positive image of Pakistan at the global level.
Ramesh Singh Arora stated that only leadership with genuine compassion for the people earns a place in their hearts, adding that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has demonstrated through her actions that she is a true people-centric and minority-friendly leader.
He concluded by stating that interfaith harmony, tolerance, and brotherhood are the true identity of Pakistan, and the Government of Punjab is steadfastly promoting these values through concrete actions.
