25 Nishan-e-Sikhi students clear NDA written test

TARN TARAN, MAY 11
Twenty-five students of the Nishan-e-Sikhi NDA wing have cleared the written exam of the National Defence Academy (NDA).
The exam was conducted by the Union Public Ser- vices Commission (UPSC) on April 12 and the result was declared on May 8.
These students will now proceed to the SSB inter- view which is the next step for the selection process. The institution is running under the patronage of international environmen- talist Baba Sewa Singh, head of the kar sewa sect Khadoor Sahib.
Twenty-eight students from the institution are cur- rently serving as commis- sioned officers in various branches of the armed forces.
Major General Balwinder Singh (VSM, retd), direc- tor of the NDA wing, said nearly 4,00,000 students across India appeared for this exam, out of which only about 8,000 qualified. Among them, 25 belong to the Nishan-e-Sikhi NDA wing.
Baba Sewa Singh con- gratulated the students on their success and encour- aged them to work hard for the upcoming inter- view.
