Concluding Ceremonies of Maharaja Ranjit Singh's 187th Death Anniversary; Indian Sikh Pilgrims Return Home

LAHORE(: Nazrana Times)The religious ceremonies marking the 187th death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, organized under the auspices of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), have concluded. Sikh pilgrims who had arrived from India have departed after completing their 10-day visit. At the Wagah Border,

ETPB Secretary Nasir Mushtaq, accompanied by Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) Pardhan Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora and committee members, bid farewell to the pilgrims. Deputy Secretary of Shrines, Faraz Abbas, and other officials were also present on the occasion.
At the time of departure, the Sikh pilgrims expressed special gratitude to the Government of Pakistan, the Evacuee Trust Property Board, and the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee for the love, respect, religious freedom, and exemplary hospitality they received in Pakistan.

The pilgrims stated that during their stay in Pakistan, they found an atmosphere like home, and that arrangements for their accommodation, langar (community kitchen), transport, medical facilities, sanitation, security, and other services were made in an excellent manner. They added that Sikhs living around the world are eager to visit the sacred religious sites in Pakistan, and upon their return, they will spread a positive message of peace, love, brotherhood, religious tolerance, and interfaith harmony about Pakistan across the globe.
PSGPC Pardhan Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora said that the pilgrims are carrying with them a message of love and devotion for Pakistan.

He informed that renovation and restoration work is ongoing at approximately 50 historical gurdwaras in Pakistan. Expressing gratitude to ETPB Chairman Qamar-uz-Zaman and the entire team, he stated that the service and facilities provided to the pilgrims are commendable.
On this occasion, ETPB Secretary Nasir Mushtaq said that the Evacuee Trust Property Board, district administration, and law enforcement agencies ensured foolproof security arrangements. He further stated that the Government of Pakistan

continues to take practical steps for the promotion of religious tourism, interfaith harmony, and the protection of minorities' sacred sites.
At the conclusion of the ceremonies, the Indian Sikh pilgrims departed for their homeland, carrying with them fond memories, good wishes, and sentiments of love and respect for Pakistan.
