Over 11.9 Million Perform Umrah as Pilgrim Numbers Rise in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia saw a significant rise in pilgrim visits last month, with over 11.9 million performing Umrah.
The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques reported a total of 68.7 million worshippers and visitors at Masjid al-Haram and Masjid al-Nabawi, up 2.1 million from the previous month.
Over 1.7 million pilgrims came from abroad, highlighting the kingdom’s efforts to facilitate global access to the holy sites.
These initiatives align with Vision 2030, aiming to enhance the Hajj and Umrah experience. Masjid al-Nabawi recorded 23.1 million visitors, with millions praying at Rawdah Sharifah and the Prophet’s Tomb.
