Punjab Wildlife Rangers Rescue 35,000+ Animals, Crack Down on Illegal Trade

Pakistan Punjab Wildlife Rangers have rescued over 35,000 animals and birds between March 2024 and September 2025, intensifying efforts against ill_egal wildlife activities. 
Authorities registered 3,749 cases, imposed fines totaling Rs. 766 million, and recovered Rs. 695.85 million in settlements. Rescued animals included bears, lions, tigers, pangolins, and snakes, while birds like sparrows, mynas, vultures, and falcons were also saved. 
Most were recovered from illegal traps or captivity. Chief Wildlife Ranger Mubeen Elahi confirmed that all animals received medical treatment and were released, emphasizing ongoing awareness campaigns and strict actions against illegal hunting.
