India Beat Pakistan by 19 Runs to Win Asian Games 2026 Men’s Cricket Gold

Nisshin, Japan, October 3 (Nazrana Times): India defeated Pakistan by 19 runs in the men’s T20 cricket final of the 2026 Asian Games at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin on Saturday, securing the gold medal. Pakistan finished with silver.
Batting first, India posted an imposing 211 for six in 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma led the charge with a blistering 61 off 28 balls, while Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 51 off 22 deliveries. Shivam Dube added a useful 27.
For Pakistan, Arafat Minhas claimed two wickets for 25 runs, while Ahmed Daniyal also picked up two wickets.
Chasing a target of 212, Pakistan suffered an early setback and slipped to 39 for three. Hasan Nawaz then produced a fighting innings to revive Pakistan’s hopes, sharing an 87-run fourth-wicket partnership with Saim Ayub.
Hasan struck 96 off 51 balls, including five fours and seven sixes, while Saim contributed 29. Despite Hasan taking the contest into the final over, Pakistan finished at 192 for six, 19 runs short of the target.
For India, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar and Shivam Dube took two wickets each as India successfully defended their total and claimed the men’s cricket gold medal.
