 Famous Private University Organizes Seminar to Express Solidarity with Minorities and Pakistan Army

 Lahore (Ali Imram Chattha ) – A famous private university organized a special seminar to express solidarity with minorities and the Pakistan Army, as part of the Punjab Government’s “Minorities Week” celebrations. The event was graced by Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, as the chief guest. The ceremony brought together a distinguished gathering, including the university’s President Ibrahim Hasan Murad, Rector Dr. Asif Raza, Secretary for Human Rights Fareed Ahmed Tarar, faculty members, students, representatives of minority communities, and senior government officials. In a show of unity and patriotism, participants, alongside students and staff, joined a solidarity walk holding banners emblazoned with slogans such as “Long Live Pakistan” and “Long Live Pakistan Army”.

 The air echoed with passionate chants in support of the country and its armed forces. Addressing the audience, Secretary for Human Rights Fareed Ahmed Tarar underscored the significance of education, leadership, and skill development in building a stronger Pakistan. He stressed the importance of creating educational and employment opportunities for minority youth, noting that education is the driving force behind national progress. Provincial Minister Ramesh Singh Arora stated, “The purpose of Minorities Week is to promote interfaith harmony and tolerance.” He revealed that 15 minority students have been sent to the Civil Services Academy and will soon appear in competitive examinations, adding, “They will make the nation proud.” He thanked the university’s leadership for awarding scholarships to minority students.

 University President Ibrahim Hasan Murad reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for all students. He emphasized that public policy reforms and intercultural leadership are key to empowering minority communities and bridging societal divides. Rector Dr. Asif Raza highlighted, “We provide billions of rupees in scholarships every year so that no talented student is deprived of education due to financial constraints.” The event also featured a panel discussion on “Empowering Minority Youth” with Dr. Ayra Patras, Dr. Mimpal Singh, and Dr. Sami Ullah. The program concluded with the Rector presenting souvenirs to Provincial Minister Ramesh Singh Arora and other distinguished guests in recognition of their contributions. ---
