Security Tightened Ahead of Main Vaisakhi Event in Hasan Abdal

Global Vaisakhi Mela 2026: Final Preparations Underway at Sri Panja Sahib

With the main event of the Global Vaisakhi Mela scheduled for tomorrow at Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib, Hasan Abdal, the provincial minister for minority affairs, & pardhan Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara parbahnak committee( PSGPC ) Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, visited the site today to review security and administrative arrangements.
During his visit, the minister was given a comprehensive security briefing by the District Police Officer (DPO) of Attock. He inspected the monitoring of modern CCTV cameras and lauded the integrated coordination between police and civil administration.

Addressing the media, Ramesh Singh Arora stated that the protection of Sikh pilgrims’ lives and property is the top priority of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. He praised the Attok police for their foolproof security arrangements, calling them commendable.
The minister also expressed gratitude to the Evacuee Trust Property Board etpb for providing excellent facilities to the visiting Sikh yatrees. “Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib holds immense religious and international significance,” he said, adding that the promotion of interfaith harmony through such events is a matter of pride.
Ramesh Singh Arora concluded by applauding the police and district administration for their efforts in fostering interfaith harmony and ensuring a peaceful Vaisakhi Mela.
