Punjab CNF Seizes 325kg Narcotics in Three-Week Crackdown, 140 Drug Dealers Arrested

Rs109.75 Million Worth of Narcotics Recovered in 145 Operations; Weapons and Drone Also Seized

LAHORE (Nazrana Times): The Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) has intensified its province-wide crackdown against drug peddlers and smugglers under Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision of a “Drug-Free Punjab, Healthy and Safe Punjab.”

According to figures released by the Punjab CNF spokesperson, the force carried out 145 successful operations during the past three weeks, arresting 140 alleged drug dealers and preventing the transportation and distribution of approximately 325 kilograms of narcotics across Punjab.

Officials said the seized narcotics included 11 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (ice), 46 kilograms of opium, 22 kilograms of heroin, 171 kilograms of hashish and 75 kilograms of cannabis. In addition, authorities confiscated 1,240 litres of liquor during the operations.

The Punjab CNF estimated the combined value of the recovered narcotics and other prohibited substances at approximately Rs109.75 million.

The crackdown also led to the recovery of 13 pistols, three rifles and a drone, according to the spokesperson.

The CNF said intelligence-based operations against organized drug networks are continuing throughout Punjab. The campaign is focused on disrupting the transportation, supply and sale of narcotics and reducing young people’s exposure to illegal drugs.

The spokesperson further stated that since August 2025, the Punjab CNF has seized approximately 25.1 tonnes of narcotics, with an estimated value of Rs2.39 billion.

The force said its operations against drug trafficking networks will continue across the province as part of the Punjab government’s campaign against narcotics.
