Shoaib Akhtar Denies Reports of Being Appointed PCB Chief Selector

Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has rejected reports claiming that he has been appointed as the chief selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Speaking to state television, Akhtar said the PCB had neither contacted him nor held any meeting with him regarding the position. He clarified that he is currently in Houston and has no interest in taking up the role of chief selector.
Akhtar also dismissed social media reports regarding his alleged appointment and remuneration, describing them as baseless.
The former pacer said he wants to see Pakistan cricket improve but made it clear that he does not intend to take up any position within the PCB.
