Ombudsman Officials Review Passenger Facilities at Lahore Airport

On the special directives of Federal Ombudsman Naveed Kamran Baloch, a team from the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat, Regional Office Lahore, conducted an emergency visit to Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. The team comprised Waqas Ali Mahmood (Member In-charge), Nadeem Ashraf (Senior Advisor), Riaz Hamid Chaudhry (Director General), Tahir Zamir (Director Administration), and Talaat Iqbal (Assistant Director).
The team carried out a detailed review of the facilities being provided to passengers and inquired on-site from travelers about the difficulties they were facing. The inspection team specifically examined the One-Window Facility Desk established under the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat. The team inspected the operations of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, Customs, FIA, OPF, NADRA, Passport, ANF, and Health, and directed these agencies to further improve their behavior towards passengers and provide them with enhanced facilities.
During a meeting with representatives of these agencies, the team from the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Lahore sought recommendations for reforms aimed at public welfare, so that the benefits could directly reach the people. Pakistan Aviation Authority informed that, in compliance with the earlier directives of the Federal Ombudsman Pakistan, the number of counters has already been increased, and that the issued instructions will continue to be fully implemented in the future as well.
