Pakistan PM Meets Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Sidelines of Antalya Diplomacy Forum

This afternoon, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a bilateral meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye on the sidelines of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Antalya.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information Ataullah Tarar, and other senior officials. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and other senior Turkish officials were also present.
During the warm and cordial interaction, President Erdoğan welcomed the Prime Minister and thanked him for participating in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. He appreciated the Prime Minister’s peace efforts and reaffirmed Türkiye’s support for Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at promoting regional stability.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the Turkish leadership and congratulated President Erdoğan on the successful hosting of the forum, describing it as an increasingly important global platform.

Both leaders exchanged views on recent regional developments, particularly the evolving situation in the Middle East. The Prime Minister shared updates on efforts to extend the ceasefire and resume dialogue toward a comprehensive peace agreement, while thanking Türkiye for its continued encouragement and support.
They underscored the importance of utilizing the current opportunity to advance durable and lasting peace in the region.

Reaffirming the deep-rooted, historic, and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, the two leaders expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral relations. They agreed to convene the 8th High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) meeting in Ankara later this year.
The discussion also highlighted the need to accelerate ongoing initiatives and explore new avenues to further enhance economic cooperation.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment by both sides to strengthen the strategic partnership, grounded in shared values and a common vision for peace and prosperity.
