Another Indian Sikh Jatha to Arrive in Pakistan on June 21 for Maharaja Ranjit Singh's Death Anniversary
LAHORE !Nazrana Times A jatha (group) of Indian Sikh pilgrims, who arrived in Pakistan to participate in the Guru Arjan Dev Ji Joar Mela, departed for India via the Wagah Border on Wednesday after completing their 10-day religious visit.
Senior Pakistani officials, including ETPB Chairman Qamar uz Zaman and PSGPC President Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, saw off the pilgrims. The visiting Jatha leader, Sardar Bhupinder Singh, praised Pakistan's hospitality, stating that the gurdwaras are now "safer and more beautiful than ever before" and that they are returning with a message of peace and tolerance.
ETPB Chairman Qamar uz Zaman reaffirmed the government's commitment to protecting Sikh holy sites under PM Shehbaz Sharif's vision. Officials also announced that another group of Sikh pilgrims from India will arrive via Wagah on June 21 to attend Maharaja Ranjit Singh's death anniversary commemorations. The departing pilgrims expressed gratitude for the transport, medical care, langar, and security provided during their stay.
