FPA President Ians Williams and SJF President Raju Lama  discuss on possible collaboration

New York / May 13, 2026 , Nazrana Times- A virtual meeting was held between Foreign Press Association (FPA) President Ians Williams and SAARC Journalist Forum (SJF) President Raju Lama to discuss possible collaboration and strengthen ties between the two media organizations.
During the online meeting, both leaders exchanged views on international journalism, press freedom, journalist safety, and the importance of stronger cooperation among media organizations across regions.
FPA President Ian Williams highlighted the importance of global solidarity among journalists and emphasized the role of professional media organizations in defending independent journalism and freedom of expression.
SJF President Raju Lama briefed the meeting on the activities and objectives of the SAARC Journalist Forum, including its efforts to promote regional cooperation, peace journalism, and professional networking among journalists in South Asia.
The discussion also focused on possible future collaboration through joint programs, media exchanges, conferences, dialogue initiatives, and professional development opportunities for journalists.
Both sides expressed optimism that closer cooperation between the Foreign Press Association and the SAARC Journalist Forum would contribute to stronger international media engagement and create opportunities for collaboration on global journalism issues.
